01 How admission works

Six steps to
the Register.

  1. Apply. About ten minutes.Written responses, your school, your track, the tier you would take, and a parent's email. A recommendation from a teacher or mentor can follow by email.
  2. Interview. Fifteen minutes.Shortlisted applicants are invited to a video interview within 72 hours. Nobody is admitted without one. Parents are welcome to sit in.
  3. The offer. Sealed and couriered.Offers arrive by email the day they are made, and a printed, sealed offer follows to the house. The founder speaks with every family before a seat is confirmed.
  4. Confirm. Fourteen days.The seat is held for fourteen days and confirmed by a secure payment link in the offer. Families who would prefer a schedule of payments can reply to the offer and we will discuss it.
  5. March. The delegate pack.Country assignment, the General Assembly topic, the dress-code guide, hotel and arrival details, kit sizing, consent forms.
  6. April. The induction.Four days in New York. The Register on the Sunday morning. A Fellow for life.

Later rounds have fewer seats.

Not lower standards. Offers are made after each round until the Sixty is full, and the waitlist opens after the third.

03 Three tiers

Every tier includes
the four days.

There is no cheaper tier and no commuter option. Every Fellow has the same four days. Private adds privacy and access. Excellency adds the air, the cars, and the head table.

Not included. Flights to New York, visas, personal insurance, and personal spending. Admitted international Fellows receive a formal letter of admission for visa applications; apply in round one if you will need one.

For comparison. A two-week university summer programme in the United States costs between eight and fifteen thousand dollars and admits thousands of students. The Global Sixty admits sixty, and the fee covers everything from the moment a driver holds up your name at the airport.

If the helicopter cannot fly. The flight is part of the Excellency tier. Weather grounds flights in New York regularly; if it does, a substitute is provided and the terms say so. See terms & refunds.

04 Nomination

The Sixty
recruits itself.

Fellows and partner schools may nominate one candidate a year. Nominated candidates skip the written stage and go straight to interview. From the second year, most of the Sixty will arrive this way, which is how the Global Sixty stays small and stays serious.

Schools can request nomination rights by writing to info@youthimpacts.com. Nominated applicants enter their nomination code on the application form.
