Is The Global 60 affiliated with the United Nations?

No. The Global 60 and Youth Impacts are independent programmes and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the United Nations. A guided visit to United Nations Headquarters is planned as part of the programme, subject to availability, scheduling and UN security requirements.

I have never done Model UN. Can I apply?

Yes. First-time and experienced delegates are seated together on purpose. The preparation session on the Wednesday covers procedure before the Assembly opens, and the training programme is free now.

Where do delegates stay?

A Manhattan hotel, announced to admitted delegates before any payment is due. Everyone stays in the same hotel: same-gender twin rooms, or a private room on the Excellency tier.

How are delegates supervised?

Background-screened Youth Impacts staff and chaperones on site throughout, including overnight. Nightly curfew and room checks for under-18s. No alcohol for underage delegates. A 24-hour parent contact line. The chaperone ratio is confirmed in the delegate handbook. The parent guide.

Does a higher tier help academically?

No. The academic experience is identical on every tier. No tier affects country assignment, speaking time, committee role, awards or recognition. Tiers change the room, transfers, hospitality and parent seating only.

What if a delegate withdraws after paying?

Fees are non-refundable. On withdrawal before the conference, the amount paid becomes a non-transferable credit voucher, valid for one year, towards a future Youth Impacts conference. Terms and cancellation.
