Diplomacy by day. Discovery by evening. Deeper friendships by night. Every part of the YIMUN experience is shaped by where you are.
Hofstra's prestigious Long Island campus gives YIMUN the gravity of a real university convening — purpose-built lecture halls, professional-grade plenary rooms, and the calm of a campus that has hosted everything from presidential debates to global research symposia.
Delegates eat, debate and rest on campus — experiencing university life in New York for three days.

Walk the halls of real diplomacy. Step into the atmosphere of international decision-making. Feel — not imagine — what it means to represent a country.
YIMUN delegates make an official visit to UN HQ on Day 2. For most, it's the first time inside the General Assembly hall. For all, it's the moment the simulation becomes real.
Three days in New York City means more than three days indoors. On Day 3, the cohort tours the icons — Times Square, Midtown, the skyline from a vantage you'll remember — alongside the people you've spent the week debating.
Discovery turns delegates into friends. The friendships are often what delegates remember most.

14 — 16 August 2026. Hofstra University. The United Nations. New York.
Diplomacy by day,
connections by night.
On the evening of Day 2 — after committee, after the UN visit — the cohort gathers for a private social night. Music, conversation, and the sort of friendships that last beyond the conference.
A celebration in NYC.
A private venue, music, food and the quiet pride of having spent the day at the United Nations.
Welcome dinner.
An informal evening to meet your cohort and chairs before debate begins.
Closing ceremony.
A prestigious finale — keynote remarks and award presentations across both tracks.
